Ceramic lighting for funky interiors. Designed at Marre Moerel Design Studio, Madrid, 2004.
This is a range of lighting that I designed while working with Marre Moerel at her studio in Madrid. The pieces were inspired by industrial grills and vents and I spent many days taking photos around the city of any vents or air shaft that I laid my eyes on. What interested me was combining hard industrial symbolism with an organic and soft material such as ceramics.
I did the research, design, production and testing at Marre’s ceramic workshop. The Vent Pipes are still in production and can be bought through Marre Moerel’s distributors.
